
Upgrades: Markings

All requirements must be followed before you can apply the upgrade
​

To remove an upgrade. You must draw your character with the upgrade three times (three different deviations)
​

To reapply the upgrade, you must post an additional three deviations with your soot dwarf without the upgrade
​
-
You can choose where you want the markings. They can be localized to one spot, or they can cover the whole soot dwarf.

Markings should be around the same size and shape as the example images
​
-
Markings cannot overlap unless specified
​

Currently, you can only apply one marking at a time

Spots
​To unlock:​
-
You must have earned a total of 20 exp orbs
-
Draw your soot dwarf hiding
*requirements are subject to change
*Spots must remain circular
​

Stripes
​To unlock:​
-
You must have earned a total of 50 exp orbs
-
Draw your soot dwarf looking for something
*requirements are subject to change
*Stipes must curve and cannot be a straight line
*Stripes cannot connect in bands
​

Chevron Markings
​To unlock:​
-
You must have earned a total of 80 exp orbs
-
Draw your soot in a race
*requirements are subject to change
*Chevron markings may consist of a single stripe
*Chevron markings must wrap completely around the soot dwarf

Ribbon Markings
​To unlock:​

You must have earned a total of 120 exp orbs

Draw your soot either giving or receiving a present from another official soot dwarf
*requirements are subject to change
*ribbons can vary in length
ribbons can outline markings

Vine Markings
​To unlock:​
-
You must have earned a total of 150 exp orbs
-
Draw your soot dwarf gardening
*requirements are subject to change
*Vine markings are in C-shapes or crescent shapes
*Vine markings must be in clusters of 4 crescents or more
*Vine markings can curl at the tip of the crescents

Smoke Markings
​To unlock:​

You must have earned a total of 160 exp orbs
*requirements are subject to change
*Smoke markings must outline already existing placements. The inside color should the the color of the placement, while the outline can be any color already on your soot dwarf.
